In the past I have hosted images in a few different places. Of course I had select images posted here on the blog, but I also had images in Flickr, Twitpic and in the gallery section here.
In the future, I will be cleaning things up a bit. I will not be posting any new images in Flickr, while there are some community aspects to Flickr that I like, 99.9% of that community has been replaced by Twitter. I have never liked the security options on Flickr and had been reduced to uploading only low resolution images. I have used SmugMug on and off for a little over a year now, and while it is more expensive than Flickr for a pro level account, the features and security it offers are more than worth the extra cost. One of the biggest advantages is that I can direct a domain to my galleries there and users can’t simply right click and save images. This allows me to upload much higher quality images.
Down the road, I will be posting the vast majority of my images to www.scottwoodphotography.com and if you click on the “galleries” section of www.myblueheaven.com it will take you there.
I will still use TwitPic for images from my Iphone and other images that I want to send out on Twitter. Posting of images as blog posts here will not change either.
I look forward to sharing more images with everyone, and I truly appreciate the feedback that you all give me, I am glad that a lot of you seem to enjoy my work.
