Ursa The Dog

Ursa The Dog

I haven’t posted here on the non-photo blog for a couple weeks so I thought I would share an image of my dog Ursa today.  I made this image at lunch today while testing a camera / lens combo.  It is a very rare thing to have her sit still long enough for me to get a shot of her.

Goodbye 2012 – Happy New Year 2013

New Years Eve 2012

I wanted to take a second to wish all of my friends and followers a very happy new year.  2012 was a good year for us, but not a great one.  We are looking forward to 2013 being a great year.

This image was made during the New Years Eve fireworks display in Seattle.  I hope you enjoy it.  I also made a short time lapse video while out shooting last night.

White Christmas

Snowy Tacoma

I have to confess that I haven’t been nearly as active here on my personal blog as I have wanted to be, it is shocking how things can suck the time away from you without your even noticing it.  Because of that, it was great to get away from home a little over Christmas and spend some time with my family over in North Idaho.  It was the first Christmas that Ann and I have spent with them in a VERY long time, and it was the first “White Christmas” we have enjoyed, also in a VERY long time.  I hope you like this little snapshot I took on Christmas Eve.

My Blue Heaven – an official relaunch

Olympia Love

Those that have been following my blogging here on My Blue Heaven know that I sort of relaunched things a few months ago and moved my photoblog over to a new site, www.scottwoodphotoblog.com and that I announced that I was going to turn this blog into a more personal place.  This post is sort of an official announcement of the relaunch of my personal blog.

While I will be featuring my photography here, it will be used to highlight whatever I am talking about.  Believe it or not, I have a lot of interests outside of photography, and you will find those things here.  I am not planning on limiting the types of subjects I blog about, but expect to see anything from food to Toyota Land Cruisers.

I hope that you will continue to follow this blog, as well as my photoblog.  Please put both of them into your RSS reader and come along for the ride.
