Yellow Flower

Ok, maybe not the most original title for a post, but it certainly is accurate, and the truth is that I really don’t know the first thing about flowers.  This one caught my eye though as yellow is one of my favorite colors and the afternoon light was falling on it in a way that I really liked.

This shot was handheld during our recent downtown Phoenix photowalk, and I guess I could have gotten more detail if I had been on a tripod and used a macro lens, but I like it anyway.

  1. I think it turned out great Scott. I like the way that it is composed too.

Nice classic shot man. The light is nice.

  3. I love the magic that comes with going out somewhere with your camera. I guess for myself, I can visit the same place over and over, but each time something new leaps out at me. Much like your yellow flower, I was inspired by a tree with hoar frost on it this week. Anyway, I really love your photographs and you are really talented – thanks for sharing them with us.
