I really wanted to get a shot of the moon and Venus in the same frame this week, but the one night that they lined up and would have made a great image, we had high clouds. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.
In any case, I decided to take a quick snapshot of the moon tonight anyway, at least I can say that I took a picture today.
Tonight was the first chance I had to get out and take a shot of the moon, when it wasn’t slightly overcast, with the Bigma 50-500.
I love this lens!
To celebrate Sigma Happiness Day, this is the very first shot I took with the Bigma.
Really terrible night to try and shoot the moon, there was a very high
cloud cover, but it was still very light when I took this, you can see
haze around the moon, that is actually some “glowing” though that upper
cloud cover.
For the very first image captured, and considering the poor conditions
tonight, I am impressed and really can’t wait to play with this lens
more.
